Centenier retires after nearly 30 years service

The Parish extends its gratitude.
Centenier and St. Brelade Chef de Police, Geoff Cornwall, recently announced that he would be retiring at the end of his current term of office in November.
Geoff has served the Parish for nearly 30 years, much of that time as a Centenier. Over the last 3 years he has also been Chairman of the Comité des Chefs, a particularly difficult time that has seen several changes in the honorary system. Geoff told La Baguette that he has enjoyed every minute of it and his decision to retire was not an easy one to make.
Connétable Mike Jackson said: “Over the years our Parish has been blessed with Centeniers of the highest calibre. Geoff is held in the highest regard by both his honorary and States colleagues, the Parish staff and officers, my predecessors to this office, and not least myself. We are all deeply grateful to Geoff and wish him, his wife Jenny, and their family, all the very best for the future”
