‘Unusual amount of break-ins’
by Centenier George May, Chef de Police

Over the past four months St. Brelade has been experiencing an unusual amount of break-ins. So could I please advise all property owners when leaving thier premises ckeck all doors and windows are secured. Also, when leaving your car at any time please make sure you have locked the vehicle and not left any valuable items, or handbags on display.

If you are off-Island and would like us to check out your property while you are away, please call down to the Parish Hall or Centeniers Office and collect a card which you fill in certain details, return to the Parish Hall or Centeniers Office and we will gladly attend your property when officers are on patrol in the evenings and at other times.

In August the Honorary Police intend to have a stand in Les Quennevais Precinct when parishioners can come and talk to them about any matter of concern and, who knows, we may be able to convince some to join us - as long as you are between ages 20-69 years of age you could be of great help to the St. Brelade Honorary Police and to your Parish.

Can I take this opportunity to wish you all a pleasant summer.

The Duty Centenier can be contacted on Tel. 741175.
