Does anyone know what it is?
Asks La Baguette reader Francis Corbet
by Francis Corbet

WHEN my wife and I moved into our house in Le Clos de la Marquanderie some years ago, we found in the garden a granite object three feet wide and correpondingly deep. We took it to be a section of a granite apple-crusher (tour a cidre) but a friend recently pointed out that, as it had only one raised side, it could not be.

I enclose a picture of the mystery object in the hope that one of your readers might be able to identify it.

Should anyone know, please send an email the Editor of La Baguette: jeff@labaguette.org.je or alternatively drop a note in to the Parish Hall (please do not email or telephone)
