Chef de Police retires
Centenier Arthur Morley ten years service
by Jeff Hathaway

Centenier Arthur Morley recently retired from the position of Chef de Police for St. Brelade following 10 years service to the Parish, first as Constables Officer, then Centenier. Arfer’, as he known to his fellow officers, was elected Chef de Police in 2006 on the retirement of former Chef, Geoff Cornwall.
‘Connétable Mike Jackson said: “Arthur has provided exceptional leadership during a time of an ever-increasing responsibility for Centenier’s, and Parish Officers in general.” He added: “During his terms of office he and his fellow Centenier’s have supported various initiatives which has resulted in our Parish police being amongst the best trained and equipped in the island. I would like to thank him most sincerely for his dedication to duty and to also thank his wife Sue who has supported him in this often demanding role”
Arthur is not giving up altogether and will continue to serve the Parish as a Constables Officer.
Centenier John Trafford succeeds Mr Morley as Chef de Police.
