Battle of Britain party held by Residents to fund Christmas lights
by Margaret Holland Prior

“What better way to end a brilliant day of watching the marvelous Battle of Britain flying display over St Aubin’s Bay then by having a party in our parish hall!” said Margaret Holland Prior of the St. Aubin Residents Association She continued: “The party was organised to raise funds to enable the Residents to pay for the complete cost of the refurbishment of the Christmas Lights”. “The party was held in a bunting decked Parish Hall After a light supper with wine, we listened to a mix of 1940s music put together by Murray Norton. There was a prize for the best 1940’s dressed and many entered into the mood of that era”.
“Sue Kowzan worked hard to gain a wide range of prizes from the St Aubin businesses and the Association was very grateful for their generosity. And thank you to Janet the Parish Hall’s brilliant caretaker”.
“With all 1,500 raffle tickets sold and everyone in a happy mood it was a good moment to thank all who supported the evening”.
