Mlle Granville joins Parade
Twinning Association report on Battle of Flowers
by Martha Bernstein

We were delighted to welcome Mlle Granville for the Battle of Flowers. Clarice was driven by Julian Bernstein, in the 1931 Open Topped Cadillac belonging to Ron Hickman, along with Emma Reid, Miss St Brelade. The girls looked lovely sitting on the back of the car. Clarice, along with her Chaperones Monique and Henri Lemoine joined Emma Reid and her family as guest of the Association for an informal dinner on the Thursday evening at the Royal Channel Island Yacht Club. More than 50 members joined our guests for a convivial and multi lingual evening. The next event for the Association is a Dinner on Saturday 14th November at the Parish Hall. The Dinner with Beaujolais Nouveau Wine will be followed by a Bumper Bottle Raffle and members and their guests are urged to make a note of the date!
If you are interested in joining the Association then please contact the Membership Secretary – Bev Pasqua on 746100 or the Chairman Julian Bernstein on 746353.
Finally we must make mention of the help from members of the Association at the last stuffing for La Baguette - but in particular Miriam Noel and Bill Duncan and Jean Temple who turned up on no less than 4 nights!
