Traders and Buckley’s agree to support St. Brelade’s bid for Britain in Bloom

For quite some time people had murmured that Les Quennevais Shopping Parade would look so much better and more folk would go and shop there if there was a bit of colour about. Listening to these thoughts, the St Brelade in Bloom committee devised a competition that Buckleys , the managing agents, put to the local traders and the majority were delighted to give support to the scheme.
HM La Moye Prison grew the bedding plants and planted up the baskets which, were delivered to the Parade on in early June. Jeanie of Buckleys was on hand to take delivery and watch as they were put into place.
All that is left now is for the baskets to be carefully tended and the St Brelade judges to decide which trader has the best colourful basket and award the first prize!.
